Educational program AQUAVET \u00ae III<\/strong><\/p>\n

AQUAVET \u00ae III<\/strong> is a professional education program of Cornell University, College of Veterinary Medicine<\/strong>. This program was created to provide practical and specific training to\u00a0veterinary students interested in developing skills and medical knowledge in aquatic animals under human care. During the first two weeks, the course is held at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, where participants learn the most important aspects of medicine and the care of various aquatic organisms in a typical aquarium environment.<\/p>\n

In the third week, the group moves\u00a0to the University of Georgia, where they learn techniques of endoscopy and surgery in reptiles and fish. The fourth and fifth week of the course takes place at Dolphinaris Cancun<\/a><\/strong>, Mexico; at this stage, participants delve into the complex world of marine mammals medicine, especially of dolphins. The group has the opportunity to learn diagnostic techniques such as ultrasound, endoscopy\u00a0and\u00a0clinical pathology laboratory. Also, diverse topics such as breeding, feeding, care and conservation of wildlife specimens and their\u00a0habitat are addressed. The course is highly competitive, since it only accepts 8 participants<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Dolphinaris<\/strong> hosts the program since 2012, the year of its inception. It was chosen among several national and international companies to host the program in terms of dolphin medicine, since it has the highest standards in the care and maintenance of these species<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

With this, Dolphinaris becomes an international reference in the maintenance and conservation of dolphins. Today, this 100% Mexican company is an extension of such a prestigious university.
